Hi Folks,

via a post on RealClimate (http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2008/07/weekend-round-up/langswitch_lang/in), I happened upon the A to Z Guide to Political Interference in Science (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/a-to-z-guide-to-political.html) which might be of interest here.

The list includes a lot of examples where scientifc information was censored (or at least inhibited) and quite a few are related to climate change:

C: Can't Say Climate Change at Carbon Conference (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/cant-say-climate-change.html)

Ch: Hashing Up the Health Hazards of Climate Change (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/censoring-health-hazards.html)

D: National Assessment of Climate Change goes missing (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/distortion-of-documents.html)

Gw: Manipulation of Global Warming Science (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/global-warming-science.html)

I: Agencies Control Scientists’ Contacts with the Media (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/media-interviews.html)

J: NASA Reaches for Muzzle as Renowned Climate Scientist Speaks Out (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/james-hansen.html)

Nr: Press Releases Controlled for Political, Not Scientific, Importance (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/news-releases.html)

Wb: Government Climate Web Sites: Missing in Action (http://www.ucsusa.org/scientific_integrity/interference/climate-web-sites.html)

Just thought I'd share

Cheers
